CHAPMAN HOUSE, THE NEWEST MEMBER OF LARK HOTELS, 
GRAND OPENS ON NANTUCKET
                                                
 
Nantucket, MA – June 26, 2012 – ACK, a.k.a. Nantucket, has welcomed its newest boutique property, the Chapman House, a petite hotel with a big sense of style.  Located directly in Nantucket town in a landmark structure circa 1717, Chapman House features 11 guest rooms each redefining the destination’s traditional seashell meets doily motif replacing it with playful and colorful interior design elements.  Award-winning Rachel Reider Interiors of Boston oversaw the redesign of the hotel.  Rates are from $129 to $399 depending on time of travel.
 


Chapman House, located at 20 North Water Street, is the little sister of Lark Hotel’s 18-room Veranda House located just around the corner on Step Lane.  Ms. Reider’s designs at both hotels seamlessly blend unique, modern touches and subtle urban elements into the bones of these historic centuries-old structures – The Veranda House dates from 1684.  Chapman House’s chic-meets-coastal décor pairs white and gray tones with golden wood and colorful pops of turquoise and red creating an ambiance that is typically uncommon to the region.
 
Guests of Chapman House enjoy all the special touches that The Veranda House has become known for since it opened in 2006.  These include highly personalized concierge services, complimentary Wi-Fi, fine linens and robes, Apple TV, 32” flat panel televisions, DVD players and iPod docking stations.  Additionally, guests may enjoy champagne receptions held every afternoon in the garden of The Veranda House.
