New York - August 27, 2012: Aqua Expeditions, Peru's first luxury Amazon river cruise, has won a 2012 Condé Nast Traveler World Savers award in the "Doing it All" category. The World Savers were announced in the September issue of the magazine (on newsstands now) and will be presented at a Condé Nast Traveler gala in New York City on September 18th.
"It is an absolute honor to be recognized with one of these awards," says Francesco Galli Zugaro, owner of Aqua Expeditions. "Since launching Aqua Expeditions, we have been committed to doing all we can to help sustain the surrounding natural environment and local communities through which we travel. This award is a testament to our hard work and dedication, and to our wonderful staff who strive every day for positive results in the areas we venture."

World Savers awards have recognized travel companies that go above and beyond to sustain the environment. This year, 15 winners and runners-up were chosen from 111 applicants, and their achievements reflect one of the core beliefs of the publication: the power of travel to do good. A panel of independent judges chose the honorees -- visionary companies that are making a difference in six areas of social responsibility: Education, Health, Poverty, Preservation, Wildlife and Doing it All.
